The Creative Kids Academy provides a fun and creative learning environment for children aged 12 months to 6 years old. We would love for your family to join our program!
We promote a play-based curriculum that is built around each child’s interests so that children have a great time while learning and growing. We also are strong supporters of our community and our parents! It truly takes a village, and we look forward to playing an active role in your child’s development.
Currently, we provide two snacks in the afternoon, and we ask families to bring breakfast and lunch for their children. All meals brought into the school must be nut-free and follow USDA guidelines for a well-balanced meal. Our snacks include grains (like banana bread, Goldfish crackers, and tortilla chips), fruits (like mixed berries, apple slices, and mango cubes), proteins (like string cheese, bean dip, and tuna spread), and veggies (like carrot chips, cucumber slices, and bell peppers).
We are open Monday through Friday from 7:00 am through 5:30 pm. Learn more about our hours and holiday closures.

Meet Our Owner
Hi there!
My name is Whitney Quillin, and I am excited to embark on a new and exciting adventure with families in the Lynnwood/Edmonds area. Inclusive, quality childcare has always been at the forefront of my dream of owning a childcare facility — a dream that started 18 years ago, when I first fell in love with caring for and working with children. It was 2005, and I was just starting my career as an infant teacher. I then worked my way along the path of an educator, trying out different age groups: school-age, waddler, toddler, pre-school, and floating.
After working in childcare for a few years, I had the opportunity to become part of a management team as a Program Supervisor. How exciting! After a few years in this role, I moved into leading a school as a Director. I was so happy being at the forefront of the school, and I loved being able to interact with everyone — teachers, children, and families. I very much enjoyed being a school Director. However, it was not my school or my principles that I was following. My passion for this career was driving me to lead a school with my own philosophy, curriculum, and goals.
During my time as a Director and educator, I’ve had two children. Doing so gave me more passion than ever to lead a program as a Mom, manager, and owner. And finally, The Creative Kids Academy is here! We are:
One of my goals here is to create a community within and outside of my program. I know how hard it is to leave your child(ren) in someone else’s hands. My path over the years as an educator, manager, and Mom have created the heart of the program I am leading today.
At The Creative Kids Academy, kids come first, play is key to a child’s development, and teachers are the backbone of our program! These are integral parts of a great early learning experience. We are educating our leaders of tomorrow. Children need inspiration, love, and care each day. They need positive guidance and the freedom to be creative. It is our job as educators to lead our children to their greatest capacity, help them figure out who they want to be, show them kindness and compassion, encourage them to have a voice, and be the first stepping stone in their educational journey.
I am excited to bring you into the community of The Creative Kids Academy. Our years together will truly be great, and I hope every child remembers the positive impact our teachers had on their first educational memories.

We are always working to create a welcoming educational environment, and our center’s updates and additions, reflect our promise to provide high-quality, child-focused learning opportunities to all of our kids! We can’t wait for you to see all of the updates that we’ll be making over the next several months!
Painting, fine-tuning, and decorating are some of the plans for inside the Center. We also will be updating our playground with natural elements as well as science, sensory, and other exciting new toys. This summer, we will be repainting the exterior of the building.
Tuition & Registration
Tuition
Tuition at The Creative Kids Academy ranges from $89 to $443, depending on your child’s age and the number of days per week we will be caring for your child(ren).
We accept state subsidy for qualifying families. For more information about Washington State’s child care subsidy programs, visit the Department of Children, Youth, and Families’ website.
Families pay tuition weekly, due on Monday every week. If your tuition is not received by Noon on Tuesday, we add a $25 late fee.
In addition, our annual registration fee is $150 for one child or $200 for two or more children.

We are now enrolling for preschool for children aged 12 months to 6 years old in our Lynnwood daycare center. Before your child’s first day, we must review your completed Registration Packet which includes medical history and current immunization records.

Our Center
Nestled on a quiet side street in Lynnwood, The Creative Kids Academy is just 3 minutes from the I-5 freeway entrance and exit for 220th St. SW. We’re at 20833 67th Ave. W, easily accessible from 208th St. SW or 212th St. SW. We have plenty of free parking, and our lot is easy to enter and exit.
Our community of families are in Lynnwood, Edmonds, Seattle Heights, Mountlake Terrace, and the surrounding areas.

Hours
We are open Monday through Friday, from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm.
We are closed all major holidays as well as four times per year for In-Service/Professional Development days. Download our 2024 Center Closures.
Holiday Closures: New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, President’s Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veteran’s Day, Thanksgiving & Day After, and Christmas & Day After.
In-Service/Professional Development Days change each year. For 2024, we are closed on:
